Following the theme of Mediterranean landscapes, this project is situated in the Lebanese village of Deir El Harf. The design works along the topography lines of the sloped land, curving it into terraces within the slants, and introducing inviting portals between the terraces, planted with climbers and colorful plants. Past the terraced orchards, the main pathway takes us on a journey of senses between natural woodland areas, leading us to four guesthouses which are located gradually on the slopes, thus working with the natural terrain. Between the four guesthouses, there is an internal courtyard that invites the user to spend time in nature. Moving up along the slope, a water cascade leads us to the main reception area near the villa, where a dance floor, a shaded seating area, and a charming main fountain surround the villa’s main entrance.
