This traditional villa, which dates back to the French Mandate, remained in excellent condition thanks to recent renovation. The same could not have been said for its garden, however, as we were brought in to rejuvenate and recompose the neglected outdoor space surrounding the well-kept structure. In accordance with the client’s needs, we designed a space to complement the house in its character and harmonize with its beauty. We began with the main entrance, which we aligned with that of the villa’s. Placing a fountain at the center of a vehicular roundabout, the house now had an appropriate entryway, complete with grassed parking spaces and a green buffer to screen views towards the garden spaces beside it. Two distinct gardens complete the design. The larger of these is for hosting receptions and includes a swimming pool and BBQ area. The second, a smaller and more intimate space, lies tucked behind the house for the users’ private relaxation and personal gardening needs.
