Our design for Qatar University revolved around the central Student Affairs building and its associated courtyards and green spaces. Being the primary face of the institution, we not only sought to create an academically motivating environment to learn in but also designed the entrance as a stage that reflects the prestigious rank that the university holds. The arabesque-inspired, state of the art fountains, reflection pools and amphitheater punctuate the site, while the serene walkways lead the users into a set of tranquil, natural spaces where they can be soothed and inspired. We also took to the rooftops, as well, and followed the theme of the inner courtyards to blend with the new outdoor setting.
