The city of Khamis Mushayt is located to the east of Abha, the south-western capital of the Asir province in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As part of a city-wide project to beautify the area and provide quality amenities for the future inhabitants, we were commissioned to create a network of urban parks for the different neighborhoods. Knowing that we will need to achieve visual harmony with the rest of the parks’ context, we strived to create a character that seamlessly integrates with the existing natural and man-made conditions. The result is a compositionally coherent web of parks that enlivens the city by catering for the social needs of its users and by positively impacting the environment.
