The city of Bel Qarn, located to the south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, falls under the administrative region of Assir. The project aims at expanding the city’s residential features as the Ministry of Housing continues its developments across the district. More specifically, the site is located within a relatively rural area and is surrounded by farming communities. The objective was to design a readily accessible green network for the community’s benefit and use. The green spaces followed a terrace-theme, an effective solution to treat mountainous terrain. As such, the proposed morphology follows the site’s natural topography and harmonizes with the site’s context.
