In recent years, child psychologists have observed increased behavioral problems due to Nature Deficit Disorder, a consequence of children drifting away from the benefits of playing in nature. The American Community School, a leading academic establishment in Beirut, aimed at tackling this issue by providing an outstanding educational outdoor area to its nursery students. As such, the developed playground is one of a kind, completely revolving around the theme of Nature and entirely composed of natural elements. It is articulated around three distinct play habitats (Adventure, Discovery and Creativity) which each cater for different activities and development goals.
