The city of Dahran Al Janoub is located to the south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in close proximity to Yemen. Our initial analysis revolved around identifying different characteristic associations on site. These included the indigenous desert habitat, the agro-pastoral farming routines and the well projected urban amenities. Through the preliminary contextual readings of the city, we formed the building blocks for our concept and master plan. The strategy we proposed was based on combining these distinctive morphological, ecological and visual attributes into one holistic and dynamic landscape framework.
